Financial Controller

About the role

Shan Foods is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its financial operations and control framework. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment of finance activities with the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Implement and monitor SOPs, financial policies, and internal controls.
• Drive audit readiness and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reports and conduct variance, trend and scenario analyses.
• Manage working capital, cash flow, liquidity and banking relationships.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and implement performance measurement systems.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in finance or accounting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting standards.
• Experience with financial reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in working capital and treasury management.
