Financial Reporting & Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Financial Reporting & Compliance Analyst will support the finance function by ensuring that all reports and accounts are complete, accurate and compliant with legislation and internal timetables. You will work closely with Finance Managers to set priorities and improve the automation and quality of financial reporting across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly reporting packs and supporting analysis.
• Prepare revenue, cost, overhead and profitability analysis across Group entities.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and other financial analysis as required.
• Help improve the quality, consistency and presentation of financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of UK VAT, PAYE and wider tax requirements.
• Gather and organise documentation for HMRC queries and reviews.
• Maintain documentation of key finance and tax processes.
• Support the Finance team with UK tax compliance matters, including VAT and PAYE.
• Prepare monthly governance and compliance packs for Finance Manager review.

Required profile

• Degree in finance or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a finance environment, preferably within the IT services industry.
• Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office.
• Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Working knowledge of UK VAT requirements.
• Working knowledge of UK PAYE requirements.
