Footwear Designer (3D/CAD + Colorway) – Freelance/Contract

About the role

The Footwear Designer (3D/CAD + Colorway) will work full‑time in a hybrid setting, primarily based in Lahore. The role focuses on designing premium footwear, creating detailed 3D/CAD models, and developing colorways that align with brand identity and market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Design premium footwear products and translate concepts into technical drawings and production‑ready files.
• Create detailed 3D/CAD models using tools such as Rhino, SolidWorks or CLO.
• Develop colorways and visual concepts that reflect brand positioning.
• Prepare design specifications for prototyping and collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams.
• Research materials, technologies and build mood boards to support design decisions.
• Refine designs based on feedback and ensure performance, aesthetic and quality standards are met.
• Participate in cross‑functional reviews to align design decisions with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Strong technical drawing and product design skills for footwear.
• Experience in industrial design and product development, turning concepts into market‑ready products.
• Ability to create compelling mood boards and visual concepts.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Footwear Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• Self‑directed, organized and able to manage multiple projects in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D/CAD tools for footwear design (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, CLO).
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of footwear construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong visual and color sense for developing colorways.
