Franchise Head

About the role

The Franchise Head will lead the implementation of AstraZeneca Pakistan's business strategy, overseeing distributors and key stakeholders while reporting to the Commercial Operations Gulf & Country Director. This senior position requires strategic planning, operational expertise, and strong governance to achieve commercial KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all franchise commercial activities across Pakistan, including sales strategy, brand and launch plans, and performance reviews.
• Own forecasting, P&L delivery, resource and budget management, and ensure alignment with global strategy.
• Drive brand plan execution through cross‑functional collaboration and monitor KPIs against AstraZeneca standards.
• Coach and mentor direct reports and matrix teams, building capability and high performance.
• Coordinate launch excellence processes for new assets and identify synergy opportunities.
• Supervise business planning cycles, cost control, and analytical insight generation to influence sales and marketing.
• Manage distributor relationships and ensure compliance with ethics, code of conduct, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience in pharmaceutical MNCs, leading cross‑functional projects.
• Proven track record in specialty care marketing and commercial governance.
• Strong strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and financial acumen.
• Experience in oncology and driving sales through third‑party distributors is desirable.
