General Counsel – Remote Contract (AI-focused)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join a leading AI organization on a contract basis. Working remotely, you will help train next‑generation AI systems by evaluating and improving AI‑generated contract negotiations and redlining.

Key responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises, assessing AI suggestions for accuracy, risk, and legal soundness.
• Review AI‑generated responses to contract scenarios and provide expert feedback to enhance model performance.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine training data, annotation guidelines, and best practices for AI‑driven contract review.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of AI‑enabled contract review and negotiation processes.
• Offer expert guidance on contract drafting, review, and negotiation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract review, negotiation, and drafting, especially for technology or AI projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify and assess legal risks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing AI‑driven contract activities.
