General Manager – Projects & Engineering (Civil)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager – Projects & Engineering (Civil) to lead high-value engineering and construction portfolios, overseeing strategic project planning and ensuring world-class quality and safety across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive full-lifecycle execution of medium and large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects from inception to closeout.
• Direct teams and contractors to guarantee on-time delivery within strict financial parameters.
• Formulate engineering strategies, corporate policies, and QA/QC benchmarks to optimise operational efficiency.
• Control project budgets, cash flows, and resource allocation to maximise profitability and minimise waste.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage vendor relationships in line with PEC contract guidelines.
• Represent the organisation in high-level discussions with corporate clients, joint-venture partners, and government ministries.
• Enforce compliance with international HSE standards to maintain safe, hazard-free project sites.

Required profile

• BE or BSc degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognised university.
• Active professional registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• 14–15 years of progressive civil construction experience, including 5–7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure or commercial mega-projects.
• Advanced expertise in project controls and strong financial acumen.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
