GIS Installation Supervisor

About the role

As a GIS Installation Supervisor you will lead the assembly and testing of Siemens Energy Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) on construction sites, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You will work closely with engineering teams to interpret drawings, conduct SF6 gas tests and produce detailed reports.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble Siemens Energy GIS models such as 8DQ1-6, 8DN8‑2/5/6 and 8DN9, following precise construction and work instructions.
• Handle SF6 gas safely, performing GIS CRM, purity and leakage tests to meet operational standards.
• Troubleshoot major issues on GIS installations and implement corrective actions.
• Use GIS tools and equipment, interpreting Siemens construction and assembly drawings accurately.
• Prepare comprehensive installation and inspection reports and submit them to the Know‑How Center.
• Maintain strict adherence to EHS requirements, including risk assessment, loss‑prevention and working‑at‑heights safety protocols.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering background with at least 5 years of experience on Gas Insulated Switchgear projects and construction sites.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and handle time‑critical situations.
• Proven integrity, respect for diverse cultural groups and high personal standards.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite for documentation and reporting.
