Graphic Designer – Prepress & Packaging Specialist

About the role

Altoheed Printer, a Lahore‑based printing and packaging firm, is looking for a Graphic Designer to create press‑ready artwork for labels, boxes, brochures and other marketing collateral. You will work closely with account managers, production staff and finishing teams to ensure every file meets the highest print standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design original layouts, artwork and packaging dielines that follow brand guidelines and printing constraints.
• Prepare and optimise files for offset and digital printing, including colour separations, trapping, bleeds, crop marks and embedded fonts.
• Convert client‑supplied artwork into print‑ready PDFs and perform pre‑flight checks to resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot colour, registration and imposition challenges on press.
• Maintain organised file libraries, version history and clear file instructions for the press crew.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop for layout, retouching and packaging dielines.
• Solid understanding of colour theory, Pantone (PMS) matching, CMYK and spot‑colour workflows.
• Experience preparing print‑ready files (bleed, trim, slug, trapping, overprints) and exporting to high‑resolution PDF/X standards.
• Familiarity with pre‑press processes, file pre‑flight, basic imposition and artwork optimisation for both offset and digital presses.
• Attention to detail, good typography sense and ability to follow brand guidelines strictly.
