Head of Construction Department

About the role

Al Rehman Developers seeks an experienced, visionary Head of Construction Department to lead the execution of residential and commercial development projects. This senior leadership position oversees the full construction lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic project plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Supervise multiple construction sites, optimizing workforce, equipment, and material allocation.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets, review project costs, and enforce financial discipline.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, negotiating contracts and evaluating performance.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, engineering standards, and company policies.
• Implement quality control procedures and enforce health‑and‑safety regulations across all sites.
• Lead, mentor, and develop construction teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• 10–12 years of proven experience in building construction and high‑rise projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑site construction operations.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
