Head of Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a highly technical, hands‑on Head of Engineering to own the entire engineering function of a fast‑growing SaaS platform. You will write production code, make architectural decisions, and lead a lean team while scaling a multi‑service, AI‑powered system.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using .NET 8.0, C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core across 14+ microservices.
• Implement Clean Architecture and Domain‑Driven Design principles.
• Develop and operate production‑grade AI/LLM pipelines, optimizing prompts, orchestration, and cost efficiency.
• Manage MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and data consistency.
• Own Linux‑based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and alerting systems.
• Maintain 25+ third‑party API integrations with robust retry, fallback, and failover strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small engineering team, fostering a startup mindset and ownership culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend engineering, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure.
• Comfortable writing code while providing technical leadership.
• Thrives in fast‑moving startup environments and balances rapid delivery with long‑term scalability.
