Head of Information Technology (IT Director)

About the role

The Head of Information Technology will shape and execute the organisation’s technology strategy, driving digital transformation, infrastructure excellence and robust cybersecurity. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that IT services are secure, scalable and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap.
• Oversee servers, networks, cloud infrastructure, databases and enterprise applications (ERP, HRMS, CRM).
• Establish IT governance, standards, policies and service level agreements.
• Design and maintain cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessments, vulnerability management and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Lead incident response, business continuity and day‑to‑day IT operations including help‑desk management.
• Manage technology projects, budgets, vendor relationships and procurement.
• Drive automation, systems integration and change‑management initiatives.
• Build, mentor and retain a high‑performing IT team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10‑15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure and large‑scale digital initiatives.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, PMP, ITIL, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
