Head of Linehaul Logistics

About the role

Daraz Express is looking for a strategic and operational leader to head the Linehaul function, designing and managing the inter‑city transportation network that links Sort Centers and Last Mile operations across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise the national linehaul network to balance speed, cost and capacity, including daily/weekly trunking schedules.
• Manage 3PL partners and private fleet owners, lead tendering, contract negotiations and monitor performance against KPIs such as on‑time departure/arrival and vehicle utilisation.
• Own the P&L for the Linehaul department, drive cost‑per‑package reduction initiatives and implement real‑time tracking solutions.
• Collaborate with Sort Center Heads, Last Mile teams and Procurement to align flows, standardise vehicle requirements and improve dock management.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing team, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, safety standards and insurance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering; MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain preferred.
• 10+ years of logistics/supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership focused on linehaul or freight management.
• Proven experience in e‑commerce, 3PL or retail distribution networks and managing large‑scale fleets (50+ vehicles) or multi‑vendor ecosystems.

Required skills

• Strong analytical abilities and deep understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience with GPS tracking technologies and real‑time visibility solutions.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
