Head of Supply Chain Management

About the role

Lucky Cement Limited is expanding internationally and seeks a senior supply chain professional to lead the function for a new overseas operation. The role will be based outside Pakistan and requires strong commercial acumen, operational expertise, and fluency in Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with project and business goals.
• Lead procurement, sourcing, contracts, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Establish procurement policies, approval procedures, controls, and supplier governance frameworks.
• Manage sourcing of plant equipment, machinery, spare parts, raw materials, fuel, packaging and other operational requirements.
• Negotiate commercial terms with local and international suppliers, contractors and service providers.
• Coordinate import, customs clearance, transportation and inbound logistics to ensure timely material availability.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and implement business continuity and mitigation plans.
• Build a reliable supplier base while improving cost, quality, delivery and contractual performance.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing supply chain team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Significant senior‑level experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts or logistics, preferably as Head of Supply Chain, Head of Procurement or similar.
• Experience in cement, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, EPC or large‑scale greenfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of international procurement, imports, logistics, contracts and supplier negotiations.
• Proven ability to establish supply chain systems and processes for new or expanding operations.
• Commercial judgement, leadership and cross‑functional coordination capabilities.
• Experience working in international or multicultural environments (preferred).
• Arabic language proficiency (mandatory).
