Helper Technician

About the role

Awami Traders, a provider of advertising equipment in Rawalpindi, is looking for a Helper Technician to assist the technical team with equipment handling, installation, and routine maintenance. The role involves supporting both workshop activities and on‑site customer installations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with installation, setup, testing and basic servicing of printing, cutting, engraving and laminating machinery.
• Prepare tools, cables, components and work areas before technical assignments.
• Load, unload, position, clean and safely handle equipment at the workshop or customer locations.
• Observe machine operation and report unusual sounds, errors, damage or performance issues.
• Follow safety procedures, preventive‑maintenance checklists and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain organized tools, service records, spare parts and keep job sites tidy.
• Provide courteous assistance to customers and coordinate with technicians and the sales team.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical or electronic tools and components.
• Ability to assist with machinery installation, alignment, cleaning, inspection and routine maintenance.
• Physical stamina to lift, move and safely handle equipment and consumables.
• Strong observation skills to identify machine errors, loose connections or unusual noises.
• Willingness to learn about large‑format printers, sublimation printers, laminators, laser machines and CNC engravers.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, teamwork and a service‑oriented attitude.
