Hostel Warden

About the role

Houstel.pk is a digital platform that connects students, professionals and business owners with hostels across Pakistan, and also helps hostel owners manage rooms and reservations. The Hostel Warden is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore who oversees day-to-day hostel operations and acts as the main point of contact for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily hostel operations, including resident check-in and check-out, room allocation and coordination of maintenance
• Ensure resident safety and enforce hostel rules and policies
• Manage discipline issues and maintain a clean, organized environment
• Handle resident queries and complaints and support a positive living experience
• Maintain records, monitor occupancy and coordinate with Houstel.pk's support team
• Assist with inspections and audits

Required profile

• Experience in hostel, dormitory, property or facility management, with strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to handle resident relations professionally, including conflict resolution, counseling and customer service
• Knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures in residential facilities
• Strong communication skills in English and Urdu, able to interact respectfully with diverse residents
• Proven reliability and integrity, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
• Prior experience as a warden, supervisor or in a similar residential management role is preferred
• Minimum intermediate or college-level education; higher education in management, hospitality or social sciences is an advantage

• Basic proficiency with digital tools, mobile apps and computer systems for record-keeping and communication
• Organizational and administrative skills
