Import / Export Officer - Female

About the role

The Import/Export Officer will manage the flow of goods, overseeing both inbound and outbound shipping logistics. You will work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure compliance and efficient movement of merchandise.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all import and export operations in line with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, shipping instructions, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs authorities to ensure timely transportation.
• Monitor shipments, provide updates to internal and external stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
• Resolve discrepancies or issues that arise during the import/export process.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of international trade laws and tariffs.
• Collaborate with other departments to align logistics activities with business objectives.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with transport and logistics providers.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and international trade compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail in data entry and document preparation.
• Problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management or related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in an import/export or international logistics role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Experience using logistics software applications.
