Import & Export Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import & Export Operations Manager to lead our international trade activities in Karachi. The role oversees the full shipment lifecycle, ensuring compliance and cost‑effective execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day import and export operations from order placement through final delivery.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, freight rates and shipping contracts to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines for FOB‑based shipments.
• Prepare, review and verify all trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and Chamber of Commerce certificates.
• Track shipments proactively, resolve delays and maintain accurate records of all international transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in import/export operations and international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations and Incoterms, especially FOB.
• Proven ability to negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and freight forwarders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP or logistics management systems.
