Import Operations Coordinator

About the role

Latif Brothers (Instruments) is looking for an Import Operations Coordinator in Lahore to support its import and logistics activities. The role ensures the smooth processing of import documentation and coordination of shipments in line with company and regulatory requirements. The post holder works under direct supervision, does not manage a team, and collaborates closely with other departments and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Process import documentation accurately and in compliance with legal and company policies.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents and customs officials to ensure timely cargo clearance and delivery.
• Support the preparation and processing of Letters of Credit and related banking documents.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, customs documentation and import-related financial transactions.
• Monitor shipment schedules and share updates with internal stakeholders.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to organize data, track shipments and generate reports.
• Help resolve discrepancies in shipping, documentation or customs processes.
• Work with accounting and finance teams on documentation for payment processing.
• Stay up to date on import regulations and customs procedures.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the commercial operations team.

Required profile

• Foundational education in commerce or business.
• Prior exposure to import documentation and Letter of Credit processing.
• Proficiency in managing import procedures and liaising with banks, freight forwarders and customs agents.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and command of Microsoft Office tools.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
