Import Specialist – Karachi

About the role

We are looking for an Import Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end import process for our operations in Karachi. The role ensures compliance with Pakistan customs regulations and optimizes landed costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete import cycle, from documentation to clearance.
• Prepare and verify all import paperwork and coordinate with suppliers, banks and clearing agents.
• Monitor shipment timelines and calculate total landed cost, including product cost, freight, duties and taxes.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing with international suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Estimate duties, taxes and other charges prior to shipment.
• Control and optimise import costs to improve profit margins and maintain cost sheets and pricing records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Business.
• 2–5 years of import/export experience.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures in Pakistan.
• Understanding of costing, pricing and duty calculations.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills for pricing and cost analysis.
