Industrial Relations Manager

About the role

The Industrial Relations Manager will lead the development and implementation of IR strategies, fostering a constructive relationship with unions and ensuring compliance with labour legislation. Reporting to the HR Business Partner – SC, the role supports employee welfare, grievance handling, and drives training initiatives across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all industrial relations matters, including employee welfare and facilities.
• Facilitate collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations, aiming for win‑win outcomes that align with productivity targets.
• Monitor labour law changes, advise management and CBA members, and ensure timely compliance.
• Oversee the compilation of workers’ annual assessments and manage in‑house training and education programs.
• Organise seminars and forums to update line managers on labour policies and regulations.
• Handle employee grievances fairly, ensuring procedural and substantive equity.
• Educate CBA members on company plans, productivity initiatives, and future objectives.
• Utilise direct and agency recruitment channels, applying selection and assessment tools for workers, apprentices, and junior staff.
• Provide HR Business Partner with reliable workforce analytics (turnover, retention, new hires) and recommend actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of modern HR concepts and labour legislation.
• Excellent administrative abilities to manage day‑to‑day challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Broad business acumen to align HR initiatives with corporate objectives.
