Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

About the role

Creative Chaos is looking for a hands‑on Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to design, automate, secure and operate workloads on both Azure and AWS. You will own core platform components, drive FinOps practices and collaborate with DevOps, software and web engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable and compliant cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑cloud landing zones (hub‑and‑spoke, policy guardrails) and automate environment provisioning with Terraform.
• Operate and harden AKS/EKS clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, ingress, image signing and zero‑downtime upgrades.
• Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) with security gates, testing and gated promotions.
• Enable platform services such as API Management, serverless functions, messaging (Service Bus, SNS/SQS, EventBridge).
• Own observability across Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry and drive actionable alerts, runbooks and SLOs.
• Lead FinOps initiatives: tagging, cost allocation, rightsizing, reserved instances and Well‑Architected reviews.
• Implement security guardrails using Azure Policy, AWS Config, Defender for Cloud, Security Hub and enforce least‑privilege access.
• Manage incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and preventive controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of production experience on both Azure and AWS.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and networking (VNet/VPC, VPN, Private Link, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect).
• Proven experience with CI/CD, observability, security guardrails and FinOps practices.
