IP Core Back Office Manager – North Region

About the role

PTCL Group is seeking an experienced manager to lead the IP Core back‑office operations for its North region. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance and lifecycle management of the IP Core network while supporting fault management, capacity planning and DevOps initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the IP Core network infrastructure across the North region.
• Provide back‑office technical support for fault resolution, capacity planning and network optimisation.
• Coordinate with NOC, Transmission, Access, Vendor and Field Operations teams to achieve high network availability.
• Drive DevOps processes and network automation to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Implement best practices and lifecycle management for MPLS, IP core and related services.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IP/MPLS network operations within a service‑provider environment.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and deliver reliable network services.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS networks and service‑provider architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, LDP, RSVP‑TE, Segment Routing.
• Understanding of Internet peering, transit, CDN and IX operations.
• Experience with network automation and DevOps tools.
• Proficiency in Linux systems and scripting languages such as Python, Shell and Ansible.
