IT Specialist – Infrastructure & Social Media

About the role

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join the Healers Institute for Children with Special Needs. The role combines day‑to‑day IT infrastructure management with the creation and maintenance of the institute’s digital and social media presence.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, Wi‑Fi networks, routers and other peripheral devices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, providing timely resolution for software glitches, system errors and hardware failures.
• Perform regular software updates, data backups, security checks and system upgrades to ensure operational integrity.
• Track and manage an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and technical equipment.
• Produce visually engaging images and high‑quality video content that showcase institute activities, events and awareness campaigns.
• Edit photos and videos using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or CapCut.
• Plan, schedule and publish posts across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms, monitoring audience engagement and responding to inquiries.
• Support online outreach initiatives and digital campaigns to raise community awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, capacity to work independently and patience when assisting staff with technical queries.
• Hands‑on experience managing and publishing content on major social‑media platforms.

Required skills

• Windows operating system administration.
• Computer hardware and network configuration (including Wi‑Fi routers and printers).
• Software updates, data backup and security procedures.
• Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut for photo and video editing.
• Social‑media management on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
