IT System Administrator – Karachi

About the role

A. F. Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants, a member of the PwC network, is seeking an IT System Administrator to join its internal technology team in Karachi. You will support core business functions by deploying, managing and securing Windows and Azure environments, ensuring reliable services for the firm’s professionals and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server platforms (2019/2022/2025) and Active Directory, including users, groups, OUs, GPOs, file/print services and NTFS permissions.
• Implement Windows hardening, baseline security configurations and patch management using SCCM.
• Manage Microsoft Azure resources – virtual machines, storage accounts, VNets, NSGs, Azure AD (Entra ID), conditional access and monitoring via Azure Monitor/Log Analytics.
• Provide backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery support for system state, files and applications.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis using event logs and monitoring tools, and participate in ITIL change workflows.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripts for user provisioning, reporting and remediation.
• Handle ticketing and service requests in ServiceNow, adhering to SLA targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Azure and networking environments.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and communicate technical information clearly.
