Junior Accountant (Remote)

About the role

Power Accounting is seeking a Junior Accountant to support its financial operations remotely. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting tasks, prepare financial records, and assist senior accountants with audits, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and corporate/personal tax returns.
• Coordinate with clients and internal departments to gather necessary accounting information.
• Support audit processes under supervision of senior staff.

Required profile

• Accounting graduate or currently pursuing a Master of Commerce or ACCA designation.
• 2‑4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or payroll functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks (minimum 2‑3 years).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
