Lead Design & Proposal Engineer - ELV Systems

About the role

Avanceon is looking for an experienced Lead Design & Proposal Engineer for ELV systems to lead the design, engineering, estimation and preparation of techno-commercial proposals for ELV and integrated smart building solutions. The role works closely with sales, consultants, OEMs and clients to deliver competitive and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications, drawings and BOQs for ELV projects and design integrated ELV and smart building solutions.
• Prepare system architecture, network topology, riser diagrams and technical schematics, and perform equipment sizing, value engineering and BOQ preparation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards and client requirements, and take part in technical discussions with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, compliance matrices and tender documentation, and conduct bid risk assessments.
• Coordinate with OEMs on solution selection, pricing and technical support, and take part in bid clarifications and technical presentations.
• Maintain relationships with OEMs and technology partners, negotiate technical and commercial terms, review submissions by other proposal engineers and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8-10 years of experience in ELV systems design, engineering and proposal management.
• Proven track record delivering proposals for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, airport, data centre or smart city projects.
• Strong understanding of integrated security systems and smart building technologies.

• ELV system design and engineering, network architecture and IP infrastructure.
• Cost estimation and value engineering, technical proposal writing and tender documentation.
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office Suite.
