Lead Operations – Back Process

About the role

National Foods Limited seeks a Lead Operations professional to manage and oversee production in the back process and grinding areas, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage production, material flow and inventory to meet cost, quality and output targets for assigned lines.
• Lead a team of 5 direct reports and over 100 indirect shop‑floor operators, ensuring balanced workloads across shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen to reduce operational losses.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to improve Global Efficiency (GE) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO and other regulatory standards, and address audit observations promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 4‑6 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in back‑process or grinding environments.
• Proven ability to lead large production teams and manage shift operations.

• Lean manufacturing methodology.
• Six Sigma tools.
• Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Kaizen continuous‑improvement techniques.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
• ISO standards familiarity.
