Lead Solutions Engineering – Data Center Design & Infrastructure

About the role

The senior data‑center presales professional will lead enterprise data‑center design, infrastructure solution development, technical qualification and customer engagement, translating requirements into resilient, scalable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead presales activities from requirement discovery through conceptual design, proposal and technical handover.
• Engage customers to capture business continuity, capacity, rack density, power, cooling, security and connectivity needs.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs covering white space, raised flooring, racks, containment, cabling, power distribution, UPS, generators and HVAC.
• Apply TIA‑942 and Uptime Institute Tier III/Rated‑3 standards, producing compliance matrices and design documentation.
• Evaluate and design cooling solutions (precision, in‑row, perimeter, containment, liquid‑cooling) and power infrastructure (utility feeds, generators, UPS, STS/ATS, PDUs, monitoring).
• Prepare architecture drawings, BoQ/BoM, technical specifications, RFI/RFQ/RFP responses and presentations.
• Conduct workshops, site assessments, gap analysis and technical risk identification.
• Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors and specialist SMEs for solution validation and pricing support.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of data‑center design, presales, consulting or solution architecture experience with enterprise customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, Telecom, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of data‑center architecture, TIA‑942 and Uptime Institute Tier III concepts.
• Experience with active/passive components, structured cabling, racks, containment, power, UPS, generators, HVAC and telecom infrastructure.
• Proven ability to engage customers, lead workshops, and produce technical proposals and compliance documentation.
