Lead VICIdial & Asterisk Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead VICIdial & Asterisk Engineer to head our VoIP and call‑center infrastructure. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining large‑scale telephony platforms on Linux servers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain ViciDial and Asterisk servers.
• Manage VoIP infrastructure, including SIP trunks, DID routing and dial plans.
• Configure and operate virtual switches/softswitch systems.
• Monitor server performance, call quality and system stability.
• Troubleshoot SIP, RTP, codec and latency issues.
• Handle carrier integrations and routing optimisation.
• Set up inbound and outbound campaigns, predictive dialers, IVR, call recording and reporting in ViciDial.
• Implement failover, redundancy, load‑balancing and security hardening.
• Perform backups, updates, migrations and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Monitor Linux health, logs and network traffic.
• Support CRM/API integrations with ViciDial and Asterisk.
• Maintain documentation and deployment procedures.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with ViciDial, Asterisk and Linux administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux).
• Deep knowledge of SIP & VoIP technologies, virtual switches/softswitches.
• Experience with GoAutoDial, FreePBX, Kamailio or OpenSIPS (preferred).
• Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB and WebRTC integrations.
• Understanding of SIP signalling, RTP handling, codec configuration, NAT & firewall management, TCP/IP networking.
• Experience handling high concurrent call volumes and carrier issues.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or DigitalOcean.
• Security hardening and DDoS protection experience.
• Scripting skills (Bash, PHP, Python) are a plus.
• Preferred: managing large‑scale call‑center clusters, telecom compliance knowledge and relevant certifications.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from PKR 150,000 to 450,000 based on experience.
