Learning Support Teacher (ADHD / SEN)

About the role

The Learning Support Teacher will work on‑site at Quaid Public High School to provide dedicated assistance to students with ADHD and other special educational needs. The role focuses on improving focus, classroom behaviour, and academic performance through individualized plans and close collaboration with teachers and parents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with ADHD and SEN.
• Recommend and guide classroom strategies for teachers to support learning and behaviour.
• Track student progress and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Conduct parent meetings and provide regular updates on progress and strategies.
• Create a calm, structured environment and run focus‑building and self‑regulation activities.
• Support behaviour management and differentiated teaching within the school setting.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience working with ADHD or SEN students.
• Strong behaviour management and differentiated teaching abilities.
• Ability to create structured routines and focus‑building activities.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with parents and teachers.
