Legal Counsel

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to independently manage contract drafting, commercial agreements, and litigation matters while acting as a trusted legal business partner across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and finalise commercial contracts and agreements.
• Manage assigned litigation cases, monitor progress and minimise risk.
• Attend court hearings to assess the performance of external counsel.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally on a broad range of contractual and legal issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with corporate regulations, prepare board and members minutes, and maintain governance records.
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments covering commercial, IP, HR, IR, competition law and data privacy.

Required profile

• LLB degree from a recognised university (LLM in Corporate Law is a plus).
• 6‑7 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years as an in‑house counsel.
• Experience in the FMCG sector (multinational or large local company) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Litigation management and court representation experience.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, commercial law, IP, HR, competition and data privacy regulations.
