Legal Research Associate

About the role

We are creating the first serious legal‑research AI for Pakistan. As a Legal Research Associate you will provide the ground‑truth data that powers the system, working remotely on a part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Research and document answers to carefully designed Pakistani law questions.
• Identify controlling statutes and leading cases, verify citations against official reporters, and flag overruled or amended law.
• Record recent legal developments such as PECA amendments, the 26th/27th Constitutional Amendments, and the NAB saga.
• Produce benchmark answer packets that are used to test every version of the AI.
• Validate outputs of the citation‑analysis engine against your own legal judgment.

Required profile

• LLB degree (LLB + 1–4 years litigation or research experience preferred; exceptional fresh graduates considered).
• Hands‑on experience with Pakistani case‑law research using PLD, SCMR, CLC volumes or their online indexes.
• Precision in citations and willingness to acknowledge uncertainty.
• Awareness of recent changes in Pakistani law and ability to locate relevant amendments.
• Comfortable working independently with written instructions on a web platform.
