Licensing Advisor Manager

About the role

The Licensing Advisor Manager leads a team of Licensing Advisors who help Zones clients understand, acquire, optimize, renew, and expand software and cloud licensing solutions. This role combines people leadership, licensing expertise, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive customer outcomes and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, workload direction, and escalation support for Licensing Advisors.
• Manage team pipeline, case queues, service levels, performance reporting, and portfolio activity.
• Guide the team on Microsoft and other Tier 1 software publisher licensing programs, product terms, entitlements, renewals, and cloud transitions.
• Act as escalation point for complex licensing questions and coordinate with publishers, partners, sales, and technical stakeholders.
• Lead consultative engagements with clients and sellers to discover licensing needs and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow existing client relationships and acquire new customers.
• Improve operational visibility and case management through dashboards, reporting, and workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of software, cloud, licensing, sales, consulting, or operations experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of software and cloud licensing concepts and commercial programs.
• Proven ability to lead a customer‑facing team in a target‑driven environment.
