macOS Developer

About the role

LemonLemon is building a voice‑powered productivity assistant that lets users dictate, edit, and interact with their tools without breaking flow. As a macOS Engineer you will join a small, high‑autonomy team to shape the core macOS experience of this AI‑driven platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own large parts of the Lemon macOS app using Swift and SwiftUI, extending functionality to cross‑platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain audio pipelines, accessibility APIs, and system‑level integrations.
• Implement pixel‑perfect UI, animations, and 60 fps overlays while profiling memory, cold‑start time, and audio latency.
• Work with low‑level Apple frameworks such as AVFoundation, CoreAudio, Accessibility (AX), CoreGraphics, NSWindow/NSPanel.
• Collaborate with backend services (REST, JWT auth, multipart uploads, Supabase) and contribute to cross‑platform/Electron/TypeScript efforts.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production macOS or iOS development in Swift.
• Deep experience with SwiftUI‑AppKit interop and low‑level Apple frameworks.
• Strong UI portfolio showcasing animations, micro‑interactions, and design sensibility.
• Daily use of AI‑assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and a solid understanding of modern backend APIs.
• Experience in startup or early‑stage environments is a plus.
