Manager – Group Financial Accounting

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Manager – Group Financial Accounting to lead the financial reporting function for its operations in Pakistan. Based in Karachi, you will ensure accurate, compliant and timely financial statements while supporting the broader finance leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Manage audit committee and board pack preparation, providing insightful analysis.
• Lead month‑end close processes, ensuring accurate accounting and timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with global accounting standards, local laws and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements, coordinate audits and identify automation opportunities.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure transfer‑pricing compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations, control self‑assessments and maintain robust internal controls.
• Implement internal controls in Pakistan in line with Unilever’s global framework.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects such as M&A, sustainability (ESG) initiatives.
• Manage and develop direct reports, contributing to finance leadership and change‑management efforts.

Required profile

• Qualified professional with at least 6 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting or related areas.
• Proven ability to work under time pressure and deliver high‑quality results.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Leadership experience with inclusive and motivating style.
