Manager Internal Audit

About the role

The Institute is establishing a dedicated Internal Audit function to safeguard financial integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote transparent use of resources. As the Manager Internal Audit, you will build the department from the ground up and lead audits across all programs and funds.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the Internal Audit department, develop policies, and create the annual audit plan.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits of all programmes, funds, and student admission processes.
• Review internal controls, protect assets, and investigate any fraud or irregularities.
• Prepare audit reports for the Board/Audit Committee and monitor corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to HEC policies and government regulations.

Required profile

• Recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAP.
• 1‑3 years of post‑articles internal audit experience.
• High integrity, independence, and ability to build a function from scratch.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of internal control frameworks.
