Mechanical Design Engineer (Lahore)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create innovative hardware products from concept through prototype to production for a product‑design firm in Lahore. The role involves 3D CAD modelling, industrial design, enclosure engineering and ensuring designs are ready for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Design enclosures, brackets, housings and structural components for electronic devices.
• Produce prototypes through 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet‑metal fabrication and injection molding.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimise cost, quality and performance.
• Collaborate with electronics, embedded and industrial design teams to integrate mechanical and electrical parts.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, GD&T checks and validation testing.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers during prototyping and production phases.
• Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings and revision control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical product design or hardware development.
• Hands‑on experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet‑metal and injection‑molding design.
• Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerancing and creating production‑ready documentation.
