Mechanical Engineer – Construction & MEP Projects

About the role

AA & Associates is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its Lahore team, supporting construction and MEP projects. The role involves planning, coordinating and supervising mechanical works to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical designs, layouts, calculations, specifications and technical submittals.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection and other mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical and interior disciplines.
• Monitor site installation, verify compliance with drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Review contractor progress, materials, testing procedures and inspection records.
• Identify technical issues, propose solutions and support resolution of site‑related problems.
• Assist with quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, procurement requirements and project documentation.
• Maintain progress reporting and liaise with clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems in buildings.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Experience in site supervision, installation inspection, testing, commissioning and quality control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with engineering calculations and quantity take‑offs.
• Understanding of construction methods, MEP coordination, relevant codes and workplace safety practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, planning and communication skills.
