Mechanical Engineer – Technical Sales & Tender Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our technical sales and tender support team in Karachi. The role bridges engineering expertise with commercial activities, ensuring that mechanical solutions meet client specifications and market demands.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and interpret mechanical specifications, datasheets and technical requirements for compliance with client standards.
• Assess supplier and manufacturer compliance with buyer technical specifications, verifying accuracy and quality.
• Support bidding processes by providing technical clarifications, participating in pre‑bid evaluations and preparing bid documentation.
• Act as the technical interface between buyers, suppliers and manufacturers to resolve issues and facilitate communication.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating and static equipment, and specialised mechanical packages.
• Participate in technical meetings, negotiations and clarifications with clients and suppliers to support contract finalisation.
• Provide after‑sales support to ensure product performance and address post‑delivery technical issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, mechanical technologies and market trends.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical sales, tender support or similar commercial‑engineering roles.
• Familiarity with international standards and codes such as API, ASME, ASTM, ISO and IEC.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret specifications and assess supplier compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
