Media Officer

About the role

The Media Officer will capture and produce visual and written content that showcases the NGO’s projects, beneficiaries, and impact. This role involves field documentation, content creation, and managing the organization’s online visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to project sites to photograph and record video of activities, events, and beneficiaries, while obtaining informed consent.
• Edit photos and videos, create short clips, photo stories, infographics, posters and other IEC materials for reports, social media and the website.
• Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, social media updates and case studies for review.
• Manage and update the NGO’s social media accounts and website, monitor media coverage and support press events.
• Maintain a well‑organized digital archive of all media assets with proper consent records.

Required profile

• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Capable of working with limited supervision and coordinating with field staff and project officers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in photography and video shooting and editing.
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro (or equivalents).
• Familiarity with social media management tools.
• Good writing and editing skills in English; knowledge of Urdu is an advantage.
