MEP Manager – Dairy Facility

About the role

The MEP Manager will lead all mechanical, electrical and plumbing functions for a large‑scale dairy operation. This senior, on‑site position ensures reliable milking, cooling, power and water systems while supporting continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain milking parlors, pumps, compressors, motors, ventilation, milk chillers, bulk tanks and cooling systems.
• Develop preventive‑maintenance schedules, troubleshoot breakdowns and supervise feed‑handling and manure‑management equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical panels, low‑ and high‑voltage distribution, generators and backup power to guarantee zero downtime.
• Oversee motor‑control systems, variable‑frequency drives, energy‑management and automation initiatives.
• Manage bore wells, storage tanks, water‑distribution networks, pipeline design, installation and maintenance.
• Maintain drainage, waste‑management and leak‑detection programs while ensuring dairy‑grade sanitation standards.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate MEP technicians, maintain logs, reports and compliance documentation, and control spare‑parts inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of MEP experience in a professional setting.
• Prior experience in dairy, agriculture or industrial facility management is preferred.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of pumps, compressors, motors and ventilation systems.
• Electrical panel maintenance and LT/HT distribution management.
• Generator operation and backup power management.
• Variable‑frequency drives (VFDs) and motor‑control expertise.
• Energy‑management and automation system knowledge.
• Plumbing system design, bore‑well operation and water‑distribution management.
• Drainage, waste‑management and leak‑detection techniques.
• Preventive‑maintenance scheduling.
