MERN Stack Developer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate MERN Stack Developer to build scalable, high-performance web applications. You will work across the full stack, creating robust backend APIs and delivering rich, interactive front-end experiences that integrate with our mobile and web platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with React-based front-ends.
• Develop responsive, accessible UI components with React.js and TypeScript.
• Architect and manage backend services, ensuring performance and security.
• Design and optimise MongoDB schemas using Mongoose or native driver.
• Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Passport).
• Manage client-side state with Redux, Zustand or TanStack Query.
• Write unit and integration tests for both backend and frontend (Jest, Supertest, React Testing Library).
• Optimise performance across the stack, including API latency, query efficiency and caching.
• Deploy and maintain applications on platforms such as Vercel, Render, AWS or Supabase Edge Functions.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and follow our coding standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience with the MERN stack and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to design and optimise database schemas and write secure APIs.
• Familiarity with modern front-end state management and testing practices.
• Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with product, design and QA teams.
