Mid-Level Java Developer

About the role

Join Telenor Shared Services Pakistan as a Mid-Level Java Developer, working in a collaborative, inclusive, and international technology environment. You will design and build scalable backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, databases, and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, following architecture and coding standards.
• Build scalable, secure microservices, develop and consume RESTful APIs, and support system‑to‑system integrations.
• Work with relational (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases, including data modelling, query development, and performance optimisation.
• Containerise applications with Docker and support deployment in Kubernetes environments, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and production support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with architects, DevOps, integration specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with Java in production environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, object‑oriented design.
• Docker, Kubernetes (deployment, services, configuration, health checks).
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL); exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI, or GCP) and DevOps tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with enterprise integration or middleware projects (API integration, Kafka, event‑driven architecture) is a plus.
