Mid-Level Video Engineer

About the role

Enroute is seeking a Mid-Level Video Engineer to join a high‑impact engineering team focused on building, supporting, and optimizing scalable video streaming solutions. You will work with real‑time data streams, video processing pipelines, and distributed systems to ensure reliable media delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices that process video data streams.
• Build and support APIs and backend services for video segment handling.
• Implement, troubleshoot, and optimise video workflows, including adaptive streaming and media delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve performance and reliability at scale.
• Provide on‑call support for APAC time zones (6 PM‑5 AM CDMX).

Required profile

• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and microservices.
• Hands‑on familiarity with video technologies such as HLS, adaptive streaming, and FFmpeg.
• Experience working with data streams, event‑driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
