Mobile Engineer - React Native (100% Remote)

About the role

Develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a peer‑to‑peer chat and calling app built with React Native and Expo, running on iOS and Android. You will own features from UI/UX implementation to integration with the on‑device P2P core.

Key responsibilities

• Build and polish features for chat, voice/video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup.
• Integrate native capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks on both platforms.
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery and network usage.
• Write unit and end‑to‑end tests, maintain CI stability and monitor crash reports.
• Collaborate closely with core P2P, design and product teams and conduct high‑quality code reviews.

Required profile

• Excellent English communication skills and experience working in a remote, globally distributed team.
• Strong interest in modernising and optimising mobile or web applications.

Required skills

• Significant experience with React Native, Redux and Redux‑Saga.
• Highly proficient in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Expo and native build tools (Xcode, Android Studio); knowledge of Swift/Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience writing unit and end‑to‑end tests and using CI pipelines.
