Network and System Support Specialist

About the role

Join the IT team of a leading accounting and professional services firm in Karachi as a Network and System Support Specialist. You will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, ensuring the firm’s network and systems run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain LAN, routers, switches and wireless network infrastructure.
• Assist with network configuration, upgrades, patch management and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues for end‑users.
• Participate in incident response, provide on‑call support and ensure network security through access controls and vulnerability monitoring.
• Prepare audit documentation, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and manage vendor communications, negotiations and SLA compliance.

Required skills

• LAN, routers, switches, wireless networking.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, network security concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper devices.
• Network configuration, upgrades, patch management.
• Incident response and on‑call support.
• Capacity planning and performance optimisation.
• Audit compliance documentation.
• Access control management and vulnerability monitoring.
