Network Security Engineer (Palo Alto)

About the role

ENCS Networks is hiring a skilled Network Security Engineer based in Rawalpindi (Bahria Town Phase 7) on an onsite, night-shift basis. The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewalls, strong troubleshooting skills and good spoken and written English.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches and network devices.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs and threat prevention.
• Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching and network security.
• Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPNs, OSPF, BGP and TCP/IP connectivity.
• Monitor network performance, investigate incidents and resolve technical issues.
• Perform firewall upgrades, configuration backups, security audits and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation and incident reports.
• Coordinate with technical teams and clients and communicate solutions clearly in English.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional, hands-on network engineering experience.
• Good understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, ACLs and VPNs.
• Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting and security management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills; able to work independently.

• Preferred: CCNA or CCNP, and Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE certifications
• Preferred: enterprise network and security experience, and monitoring tools
