Nurse Practitioner – AI Clinical Content Specialist

About the role

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners or Specialist Nurses to join SME Careers as remote, hourly contractors. In this position you will act as a Subject Matter Expert, reviewing AI‑generated clinical responses and creating high‑quality healthcare content that improves the accuracy and safety of advanced language models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by writing detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers aligned with your clinical specialty.
• Evaluate, rank, and provide feedback on AI‑generated clinical responses to enhance correctness, safety, clarity, and contextual relevance.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, and bias, ensuring reliability across diverse patient populations.
• Fact‑check clinical information and produce model solutions that demonstrate proper clinical reasoning.

Required profile

• Active NP/APRN (or equivalent advanced practice nursing) licensure/registration in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in an advanced practice or specialist role (preferred).
• Strong clinical reasoning skills, including differential diagnosis, triage, red‑flag recognition, and appropriate escalation.
• Experience managing common and complex conditions within your specialty, including patient education and follow‑up planning.
