Online IB Tutor (Remote)

About the role

Mixt Academy is an international tutoring platform offering online and on-site educational support to students worldwide, covering Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and IB curricula. It is expanding its IB teaching team and is looking for experienced tutors to deliver high-quality online lessons to IB students. The role covers all IB subject groups and programme levels (PYP, MYP, Diploma Programme, SL and HL).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured, engaging and interactive online lessons according to the relevant IB curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with IB subject guides and learning objectives.
• Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments.
• Support students with Internal Assessments, Extended Essays and Theory of Knowledge where applicable.
• Explain complex concepts clearly and help students develop critical thinking, research and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor progress, give constructive feedback and update students regularly.
• Maintain class records, submit lesson feedback through the tutor portal and coordinate with academic and student support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject or closely related field.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience with the IB curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of IB syllabi, subject guides and assessment criteria.
• Experience teaching IB MYP or IBDP students, especially SL and HL, depending on the subject.
• Familiarity with IB exam preparation and assessment methods.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Professional approach, good time management and reliable high-speed internet, laptop/desktop and a suitable teaching space.
