Operations Manager

About the role

Alay, an athleisure and apparel brand, is seeking a hands‑on Operations Manager to lead daily operations, strengthen internal processes, and support the next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure cross‑functional teams work together effectively and that product launches and deliveries run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across departments, setting priorities, responsibilities and deadlines.
• Coordinate production, procurement, inventory, marketing, e‑commerce and fulfilment to ensure on‑time product and seasonal launches.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock accuracy, replenishment and management of slow‑moving items.
• Supervise warehouse and order‑fulfilment processes, including packing, dispatch, returns and courier coordination.
• Develop and implement SOPs, reporting systems and quality‑control checkpoints.
• Monitor operational costs, identify inefficiencies and improve productivity without compromising quality.
• Provide weekly performance reports to the Founder/CEO covering tasks, delays, risks and corrective actions.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of operations experience with team management and cross‑department coordination.
• Experience in apparel, fashion retail, athleisure or e‑commerce is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of production coordination, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and order fulfilment.
• Proactive, accountable approach with strong attention to detail.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with inventory/ERP systems.
• Shopify experience (advantage).
